Almost of southern Ontario once again under some sort of weather notice, according to Environment Canada. Areas in Brantford and Waterloo region under a special weather statement, Hamilton's also also under a fog advisory. Now continued rain and dense fog this morning. Just watch the roads because there's a lot of pooling and ponding. Numbers provided by the Ontario government suggest less than half of high school students are meeting the province's attendance target. Now the government's pursuing legislation to make attendance count for up to 15% of final grades for secondary students. But the numbers show only about 40% of secondary students met the 90% threshold. Grade 12 students was one in three. Expect the price of your purchase on Amazon to cost more. Now Amazon will start charging Canadian companies a new fuel charge of 3.5% on fulfillment fees. to pack and ship goods because of the rising price of gas. But it's not a consumer charge. After promoting the World Cup Fan Festival as a free event, the City of Toronto has had an about face. A report presented to the city's executive committee suggested starting a $10 general admission fee with VIP passes worth up to $300. The festival, which is said to include live game broadcasts, food and music, was promoted as a free and inclusive space for fans to enjoy the tournament. We assume they'll be changing that motto to paid and exclusive. Sports, baseball yesterday, Blue Jays lost to Milwaukee 2-1. They've got one more game against the Brewers this afternoon, 140. NHL last night. The Leafs lost their last game of the season, 3-1 to Ottawa. PWHL, Toronto lost to New York 3-2. OHL conference semi-finals. Well, Brantford didn't disappoint. They beat North Bay 5-3 and wins the series and will move on to play the winner of of the Barry Ottawa series. Tonight, Kitchener could be moving on. The Rangers have a 3-0 series lead when they're in Sault Ste. Marie at 7.
