It's hard enough arriving from vacation, but when you arrive from vacation and you're stuck on a plane, WestJet passengers were stranded for over 8 hours. because of fog and what also appears to be poor planning. According to our report, the WestJet flight from Cancun was diverted to the Waterloo Airport because of fog at Pearson. Now the problem is when they landed after one, travelers had to wait for customs officials because the airport wasn't staffed overnight. So travelers had to wait in the plane for 8 1/2 hours. They said they weren't even given food, but hours later were finally given water. Now the plane eventually landed in Toronto just after 10, leaving some wondering why they couldn't just drive back to Toronto. The Blue Jays lost to Milwaukee 2-1. They did lose two out of three and start up a weekend series in Arizona. Tonight's game 940. NHL last night, Edmonton beat Vancouver, Calgary over LA. Winnipeg lost to San Jose, marking the end of the regular season. Now the playoffs begin tomorrow. Ottawa plays Carolina at 3. Montreal is in Tampa Bay on Sunday. They were supposed to play tomorrow, but apparently somebody at the arena in Tampa Bay forgot that it was already booked. Edmonton will play on Monday. OHL Conference semi-finals. Kitchener lost to Sault Ste. Marie 4-1, but they still have a 3-1 series lead heading into tonight's game when they host Sault Ste. Marie at 7. Light 92 weather, sunshine and 20 to start the weekend. Tonight, cloudy and nine. Showers tomorrow, risk of a thunderstorm, windy and 18. Now a chance of rain or flurry Sunday and a high of six. And on Monday, I hate to say it, but it looks like we're going to get a high of two with a few flurries. Now I know, Scott, you didn't want me to mention Monday because you wanted to cancel the news. So that's okay. News is canceled for nine. Right now it's 12 in Brantford, 12 in Hamilton, 11 in Kitchener. I'm Stacy Englehart. Have a great weekend. See you Monday, Scott.
